He is affiliated with the prestigious Thai Massage School of Chiang Mai (TMC -see link below).  In 2005, TMC received King Rama IX's award for excellence.  The TMC Certification program is recognized worldwide. Ajarn Chock is qualified to teach and certify all levels and full TMC curriculum.  He has taught both in Thailand and in the US.  Students who have taken his workshops and certification courses hail from a number of countries, including Holland, Greece, Italy, Spain, Germany and the US. Upon enrollment, all of his students become affiliated with TMC and their certificates are issued by the school in Thailand.

Ajarn Chock's teaching methodology is simple but effective. When teaching, Ajarn Chock
demonstrates the correct technique on a model while students observe.  He then performs the technique on the student, and thirdly the student practices the technique on a model, while Ajarn Chock observes for correct application.  Emphasis is placed on safety, politeness and effectiveness.

Ajarn  Chock was born and raised in Thailand. For the past 40 years he has lived and worked as a successful professional in the US.  He has worked for such corporate giants as Exxon-Mobil, Oracle, MITRE, and NASA-JSC, to name a few.

As a young child, Chock became a temple boy at Wat Mahathart, in the southern Thai province of Nakhon-Si-Thammarat. Because of his excellent grades and polite behavior, Chock was selected by the Head Monk to be his apprentice.  The Head Monk was known throughout the province for his extensive knowledge of healing herbs, roots,  barks, and Thai Bodywork.  He taught this knowlege to the young temple boy, Chock, who became his assistant for the next couple of years.

Once Ajarn Chock retired from his professional career as a Computer Scientist, he went back to his roots in the natural healing arts.

For the past 10 years Ajarn Chock has been teaching all modalities of massage including Swedish, Shiatsu, Sports and Thai Yoga Bodywork. In 2004 he developed a 600 hour curriculum (approved by the Oklahoma Board of Regents, Department of Education and Health Department), and taught the Massage Certification Program at Moore Norman Technology Center (MNTC).  He taught the certification program at MNTC for four years.  Presently, as an affiliate and certified instructor of the Thai Massage School of Chiang Mai, he teaches and certifies students in the TMC curriculum.
